Dear Husband

I'm really glad you seem to be feeling a lot better. I think it's the fact that you know that you'll be out of there and finally settled soon. I've been seeing posts from the boys that are still here and it's been bumming me out. That means someone else will have to go through this the way we all have. Have you heard anything about your room situation and if it's going to have internet?

I just got home from my 5mile run/walk. My left hip is slightly bugging me when i walk but it doesn't affect my running at all. Actually, if i walk in a slight sitting position then it feels so much better. Tomorrow i have a 2 mile run without stopping. WISH ME LUCK! Sometime before/after that i'm going to try that cycle class too.

Winson gets in tonight and Ava wants to go out but i'm not caught up with my work and I want to be well rested for tomorrow. I actually cannot believe that he's here. Oh! Ricky comes in a few days too. He called me earlier and said we'll all go golfing. I can't wait! I also went to Roger Dunn to do another club fitting before the 90 satisfaction ended. They said the clubs fit really well. I tried a few different clubs and ultimately mine were the best. I even hit at 217yards. We'll see though. Towards the end i was getting sloppy cause i got tired and started lifting my head. It was funny because when the guy called me out on it, I responded and said, "you sound like my husband". hehe.

I want you to know that I miss you a lot more today too. I was just thinking this morning that I feel like I miss you so much and was a little jealous that you're holding up so well alone. I noticed I spend less time moping around at the fact that I'm alone but I still think and talk about you like you're still here. I think it's because i still have your stuff laying around. Your shoes are still at the door and your post-it notes for the video games haven't been thrown away. As for your CD request, I'll try to work on it- what i mean is, i'll try to find or buy a blank one somewhere :) I love you.. i hope you have a warmer day

Miss you

I miss you more today than I have since I left. Not sure why, I think it has to do with a song that was playing in one if the tents. I'm not sure of the name but it is on your list and says "fuck you" in it. I wouldn't mind getting your playlist on CD so I can listen to it. The cold and speed of the days here makes time go by fast, but I am starting to get used to it. I don't need to be away from you to be reminded how amazing you are an how much I truly love you, that is just the one bonus of being away. Hope your day goes well, back into the tundra.

Today was good. Well, I think I feel really good right now because I ran my 1mile nonstop like the plan said to do. :) I felt a little bad because I went to shadow boxing this morning and Erin, the instructor couldn't make it so I ended up taking a core class. It just didn't seem good enough to be my substituted for my 1mile run...

After the core class I went to a casting for an HP ad but what I didn't know is that they wanted experts! It was still fun and even though I didn't have any gear, one of the girls let me use hers! I did however get to ask Chris (from 24hr fitness) if I could borrow his and he sent me a picture of what he had. That was really nice of him.

I was supposed to go to Heidi's work event today but instead I had to cancel to help the twins fog up the place before mom gets back. Apparently they have a bug infestation from the cabinets (the grains) and something like bedbugs. I don't know.. I just bought whatever and fogged the place up! The kids are sleeping over and Heidi is coming over to drink some wine.

Anyway.. While I write all this I'm walking back from my jog. :) I feel great! Oh, and the shoes, both of them feel really good!!

The day went by really quickly! I can't believe its almost midnight and I've done nothing much but clean, have some sister-neice time, and clean some more. My plan was to actually sit in on that cost accounting class but as I got ready for the late class I realized that today is a holiday and so there's no session today! DOH! Anyway, I did some re-planting since i took out all the cilantro and green onions. I think I may stop planting those from now on and will just buy them. I want to plant things that will grow and can be picked without having to plant again. Those darn tomatoes didn't grow... I didn't read the instructions thoroughly... i guess I was supposed to germinate and plant when they had at least two leaves. oh well.. I may need to buy some more. My chili peppers, kale, and mint look amazing and I can't wait to try the kale. I actually tried the mint and chili today and it was so worth the growing pains of waiting. I made summer rolls and spicy garlic sauce!

I'm hoping to be able to catch you online tonight since I haven't heard from you yet. Skype is so tricky because it tends to say you're online and the next minute it says you're off. Regardless, I know you're busy so chime in on my ipad or the laptop if you want. I may be asleep but i don't mind if you wake me :)

oh yeah, Foxi just had a trim (you know what) because she had a little dingleberry this morning which she decided to drag across the living room. haha! be glad you didn't clean that up :p

It must be extremely busy today as I haven't seen or heard from you yet. I wanted to at least say I love you and I have the iPad near me in case you want to call. Hope you had a good day. I looked for you after I got home last night (Ava said you called) and didn't see you on. I didn't stay out long since I had to be up early for a hike today. Matt and I were supposed to be joining a bunch of his co-workers who ended up being really behind on time. We decided to just head out first since the closest person was stuck in traffic and didn't really know how far away they were to the trail. It was a really nice hike (see pics).. Although i rigorously tackled the millions of stairs. On our way down we ended up seeing bits and pieces of Matt's co-workers coming up. We grabbed some lunch at Bogarts and coffee mug Matt got was probably one of the most awesome super man mugs ever! (I took a pic for you in the et cetera blog). Anyway, it's about 5pm right now and although I've seen your light on in Skype I havent been able to catch you yet. I'm going to hop in the shower, catch up on some work and will look for you online. I love you!

So prick-tay

I painted my nails last night and they look do pretty that I decided I need to take the color off. Every time I look at my hands they look like a Sally Hansen ad. I think I'm better off with the natural look.

Lunch at Jin Din Rou

Remember that place I wanted to go to? It was on king street and looked really pretty... Well, Ava and I tried it today. I got their lunch combo which came with the tan tan ramen and the soup dumplings. It was AMAZING!!! It was close to being as good as the restaurant that I like in California! Wish we got to eat there together. I think you would've enjoyed it. Especially the part where you pop the dumpling in your spoon for the broth!

what's that smell?

I forgot to mention to you that I had a weird obsession with perfume today at the store. I sprayed my coach one on that we both love and I also sprayed a new one of coach (poppy). I didn't like the Poppy at first but the rest of the day I couldn't help but smell myself and think you would love it too. It's more sweet and is really pleasant just like the other one. I may just get it one day.

Anyway, i'm writing to you right now because I was cleaning up again and came across your cologne while dusting. The tip of the cologne didn't smell anymore so i decided to just to a quick spray on my shirt and at first I missed you so much but i'm almost at the point now that I have a headache. I guess I may have squirted too close to my nose.. Foxi seems to love it though. She's all up on me!

Late lunch alone

Running errands to get your stuff and cleaning products right now and I stopped to grab a gyro. It's lonely eating by myself but the good thing is... You're not rushing me to swallow my food whole! :p

Your alarm just went off and I laid in bed for a bit petting Foxi and thinking about you.. I went to check my phone and noticed that its 8:23 (thinking-8, of-2, you-3). What an amazing coincidence! I love that I catch that time and 1:43 (I-1, love-4, you,3). I guess those little pager codes come in handy when I'm missing my husband!

Tried to see if you were home but it was nothing but darkness.  The internet here has been retarded for a day, i moved my bed closer to the wall that the signal comes to but since it has been jacked up it didint matter much.  Hope your day went well, I aknow you are getting ready to start classes.

 

I forgot to tell you that when I was in Baltimore looking for cases to store the weapons in we were on the highway and I saw a panera sign, it made me think of when we ate at Panera and I missed you.  We exited and I came to find out that it was the exact same Panera :p But we were coming from the other direction so I did not recognize it.

Last night was fun. It initially Blechh when we got to the first place but after we left (in just 20-30 mins) and got to the old crazy box, now called addiction, it was a whole lot better. Poor Ava's back was bothering her so I say with her in the restroom a few times.

Today we had a family BBQ again (I sent you photos in the Et Cetera blog) and it was very filling, as always. It's funny because I look around and everyone has a baby so to make myself feel better I grab their babies and it's like they're mine. I don't get my obsession with babies right now.

I also picked up some tickets from Zara earlier. She got me two tickets to the Sony Open and gave me our season tickets to The Butler Did It. It would be nice to watch the pros play buy I need to find out who will be able to go with me and will appreciate it. As for the theater, I'm sure Heidi will come with me.

Dear Husband

it's almost 5 in the afternoon and I haven't heard from you yet. I'm sure you're trying to keep warm right now and that's okay. I'd rather have you sit in your tent / stay in a warm place rather than walk around in the cold to get online. 

I didn't sleep well again last night. I fell asleep around 3-ish and the dog waking me up a few, a phone call from hawaii five-0 (the called to see if i could come in), and the alarm I set going off of you saying "i love you".. i couldn't go back to sleep. I feel like a zombie!

I met up with the sisters and the kids today. We had Kuru Kuru for lunch and i saw the kalbi chicken and thought of you! No coffee jello this time. It's just not worth eating if it's not with half and half. 

I haven't gotten the chance to speak with your mom yet. I think we've been playing phone tag but i'll try again to be sure that we're doing something tomorrow. 

Tonight is first friday and the plan is to go to kirks place for a little pre drinking. I actually wanted to go home to rest after that but heidi wants me to go out just for a bit before I start school. Cleone is also joining us at Kirks and then we'll head out to downtown for a bit. Andrew will already be in downtown. I'll take photos for you. I love you.

Quickie

Short update of my day. I went to the gym at bishop street for shadow boxing and it was absolutely brutal. We did so many tabatas and strengthening exercises! I just got out of my lash appt and it was a weird one. I slept through the appt like I always do and had odd dreams the whole time. I've been having a hard time sleeping and when I do I have bad dreams. :( Foxis been really good at cuddling though (as you can see in the photo). The pho guy in downtown told me to wish you a quick and fast trip home. I ate by myself and had all this bean sprouts to myself. It was awesome :p

I'll get back to you later tonight... I'm waiting in line to pay for some water glasses at Ross and will be jogging with Ava and then off to the driving range!

Dear Husband

I hope you slept well last night. Sorry we didn't get to talk because of your internet connection-at least I got to see your face a minute.

Last night at DuVin was good. Heidi and I shared two bottles of wine and she had a caprese salad and I got the baked brie and escargot. I think the last time I was there we were waiting for you to come by from work. I wish that were actually the case and that you were in fact coming by… I would've ordered you the cheese platter and some beer. There was also a weirdo with an accent who he and his friend were offering me a house, a condo, a dog, a car, and even a plane… please! I said, I have everything I need.. which in truth, I do. I have my home, i have my dog, i have a car, i may not have a plane but take all those things away and it doesn't matter. As long as I've got you, i'm good (well, Foxi too)… then i'm good :) I hope you know that.

I'm heading out in a few minutes to meet with Jon (old boss) to discuss some stuff at Kahala Mall and will be dying my hair with Amy afterwards at 3:15. I also need to look for a replacement class for my accounting course. There aren't enough enrolled students so they're offering it online or the option to find another. I'm also trying thinking about taking the Piyo (pilates/yoga) class this evening… We'll see.

FYI.. foxi can jump on the bed without the blanket now! She's also been eating well.. too much in fact. All she does is chow down and then smack the bowl for more. I don't know if I should keep feeding her or not.

Going under the knife

Foxi's surgery is set for Feb 2 @8:30am. She can't eat or drink anything the night before from 6pm and on. :(

Getting in a rythm.

The follow on flights are going to start coming in so my time will be less for a while till I get everything straight. I slept pretty well last night I think that since I found the gym and am doing that now it wears me out. I am trying to stay focused on what I am doing but things are slow and cold here I think about you often and then I get bored easy and that makes it worse. If I was settled in my own room it would be different but there is no privacy here and I spend half my day securing my gear to make sure none of it walks away.

I spend a lot of time going through my phone looking at pictures of you and videos :) You are such an incredible woman!

So today is Happy Hour day! Heidi and I (and maybe Ava) are going to DuVin for their happy hour: 1/2 off wine bottles and happy hour prices for appetizers. :) I know how you love eating there. If we get a cheese place i'll dedicate it to you! Hopefully we get to meet a dog later named Poota.. hehe, I know... Cute/funny right? If I do meet this dog i'll be sure to take a photo for you.

Last night I had somewhat of an "crap" moment. The washer stopped working and I thought it was because of the heavy load so I took out half the stuff and ran it again. It didn't work so I took everything out and ran it empty. I started to anticipate going to my sisters to do laundry again and forking out money to repair the washer. Luckily I drained it and found a whole lot of lint and fuzz which was the real cause and now.. tada!... it works! I have done 2 loads without it breaking down. whoo hoo!

I tried to get a video of Foxi jumping up on the bed last night but missed the opportunity. She's so funny when she tries to get up. She's actually only able to do it when my furry blanket is hanging over the end because she uses it as leverage to pull herself up. She got off the bed at 5am this morning to use the bathroom and since I knew she was sleepy I picked her up instead of making her jump up and cuddled with her before heading to the driving range. At 7am when I got up I found a nice little dingle-berry on the bed. Nice..

Driving Range: it started out terrible. I could barely hit the ball. After a little while I broke it in again and started hitting better. I still drive around 150-170ish but I think that's still good. I don't get why i'm short on my distance but I'd like to look into those lessons sometime. I'm hitting a lot better with my fairway and hybrids also. It's about 80-125 depending on which club i'm using. Thank god. At least i'm hitting the ball now. :)

I'm going to head out to exchange Toshie's gift and head to the post office to mail it to her (plus, i haven't picked hers up either). I really hope you have a good day. Thanks for the chat yesterday.. it was nice watching you kick everyones butt at pool! Thats my champ!

Blow me :)

Since I don't have you to help with waging Fox, I decided to try something new. I took a shower with her. Washed myself and my hair and then washed Fox. By the time I was done with her I rinsed myself once more and began wiping her down (which is usually your job). I used the blow dryer on her while I wrapped myself in a towel. It works this way and she looves the heat. I think its because she stands around wet while I do that last rinse.

Beach day

I went to bed early with Fox last night and for the first hour of watching TV in be I refused to help her up (btw, the night before she jumped in the bed twice without any help). After doing that hop thing she does for 15mins she got tired and I finally picked her up.

I woke up this morning and realized I missed you alarm. I set it up early in the morning and have named it "Joaquin loves me" ringtone. I slept through it and laughed because it's just like normal when you kiss me an say you love me when you're here-I'm always asleep and aren't even aware.

Today we're going to go to kaimana beach and bring Foxi too. Idk if I'm able to find the beach chair so that Foxi can stay cool under it but I'm thinking of going to the store and getting a beach umbrella for her. I'll take photos for you when we're relaxing.

My classmate Kasper asked me if I want to go to the driving range tomorrow. I can't wait. I haven't touched the clubs in a long time. :) yay.

Dear Husband

Today I've been online hoping to see you come on since I didn't get to speak with you yesterday. i wanted to say Happy New Year. I did get a message from you stating that I must not have heard my phone but I didn't get a missed call from my cell or from Skype. :(
Now I'm at Jimmy and DiemMi's place for NY and the family is here. I made beef stew and made it spicy and put white pepper in it the way you like it. Aunty Dora made her famous jello and little Tara made her amazing pumpkin crunch. The food was seriously good and all we've been talking about is working out and doing bikram yoga. I dont know if you remember Philip from Jimmy's family but if you do, i wanted to let you know that he is a new dad to a cute little boy who's got hair that stands straight up!
Foxi has been avoiding food since you've left. She finally started eating when i got her some new stuff. She already didn't like the old stuff but i think with your being gone she probably just lost more of her appetite. I'll keep watching her food intake though and see if she needs to go to the vet or not.
Also, I didn't get a chance to talk to you about last night (NYE) but I have to say that we have some great friends who are always watching out for me. Heidi and Ava have been making sure that they take care of me and when i needed someone, Andre and Eddie have been there as well... Everyone has been great for moral support.
The family also wanted me to tell you that they miss you and hope you have a good new year. Maya has started walking today! I could tells she was going to do it last night. She kept standing and sitting around trying to get back up all night.
